Privacy Policy

This Policy is to inform individuals and representatives of organisations, that any information provided to TGR BioSciences, is protected according to the requirements of the Privacy Amendment Act (Private Sector) 2000. TGR takes it obligations under the Privacy Act seriously, and as such, will take all reasonable steps to comply with the Act and protect the privacy of personal information that it holds, as well as treat all information strictly confidential.

For the purpose of this Policy, the following terms are defined as follows:
Personal information” refers to information relating to an individual or organisation, including an opinion, which maybe provided to the Company as part of its credit application enquiries, staff employment, etc.

Sensitive information” refers to information or an opinion about an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual practices, criminal record or health information.

You” refers to a person submitting information to TGR. This person may be a customer/client, an individual representing an organisation, employee, or an individual in person.

Collection and Use of Information

TGR may collect personal information from an individual or representatives of an organisation, in a number of ways:

  • directly via phone, email addresses, fax, TGR’s website or via mail (eg applying for employment, services or submission of application forms);
  • via third parties such as credit reporting agencies or any nominated representatives;
  • from publically available information.

TGR BioSciences may use the collected personal information from you, to enable it to provide services, employment, lines of credit, credit history details, etc. When such information is to be collected, the Company will make every reasonable effort to inform you of why the information is being collected, how it will be used and to whom it will be disclosed. Reasons for the collection of personal information include, but are not limited to:

  • ensuring that any order(s) entered into are recorded and maintained to provide for efficient service;
  • notifying the client of issues relating to the services being provided;
  • to address any enquiries that an individual or organisation may have;
  • applying for employment with TGR, to ensure the application is appropriately assessed;
  • assess applications for credit worthiness; and
  • government legislative and regulatory requirements.

TGR BioSciences (Australian based Company) may operate in countries around the world. Personal information gathered in these countries will be transferred and maintained by TGR BioSciences in Australia. By providing your personal information to TGR, you consent to the transfer and maintenance of your personal information to TGR BioSciences in Australia.

TGR does not collect or store any sensitive information on individuals or organisations. The type of personal information held by TGR includes but is not limited to, names of employees and proprietors of organisations, addresses, telephone numbers, facsimile numbers, e‐mail addresses, bank details, titles and professional affiliations. These details are collected for the purpose of providing services to clients, and marketing of our products.

TGR will collect information from its employees, such as, but not limited to, names, addresses, telephone numbers of emergency contacts, tax file numbers and bank account details. TGR BioSciences will not disclose this information to any other organisation, nor will it send any such information overseas for any purpose whatsoever.

Where applicable, TGR may disclose information to credit providers for credit related activities, to government and regulatory authorities, as may be required by law. Where personal information is held by TGR, it will not be used for any purpose without the express permission of the individual or organisation concerned.

Storage, Access and Retention of Personal Information

Personal information collected by TGR will be retained as part of a database, which will be securely maintained by the Company Secretary or delegate. Data will not be made available to a third party, unless it is legally required and without the authority of the individual who provided the personal information.

TGR BioSciences will make available for inspection all personal information, based on the information supplied and relating to an individual, provided reasonable notice is given in writing to TGR. In the event that any part of the personal information that the individual inspects is determined to be incorrect and require alteration then TGR will make such alteration in compliance with the corrected advice provided by the individual.

The Company will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal information that it holds. This includes appropriate measures to protect electronic materials and materials stored and generated in hard copy.

Where information held by TGR BioSciences is no longer required to be held and retention is not required by law, then TGR will destroy such personal information by a secure means.

Access to your information

TGR acknowledges that individuals or representatives of organisations have a right to access their personal information held bythe company. In the event you may have concerns regarding the privacy or accuracy of your details, TGR asks that you inform the Company in writing, either by mail or by email using the contact page on the website.

TGR undertakes to ensure that any personal information collected, used and disclosed (where required), is accurate and up‐to date. In doing so, the accuracy of the details held by TGR depends on the accuracy of the information provided by you.
Where customers or organizations do not wish to receive communication or correspondence from TGR, you may opt out by sending an email to TGR BioSciences indicating you wish to no longer receive information and wish to be remved from TGR’s database. By opting out you may not be able to receive certain communications and you may not be able to access certain products or serices offered by TGR BioSciences.

For individuals or organizations who do not agree with this policy, we ask you please not to provide us with your information. TGR BioSciences acknowledges that there is no obligation for an individual to provide it with personal information. However, if an individual chooses not to provide the TGR with their personal details, we may not be able to provide the individual with a full range of services or reduce the ability of servicing the individual’sorganisation direct.

If an individual has any concerns regarding the privacy of personal information, wishes to access personal information held by TGR, to opt out or make a complaint, they may make a request in writing to the Company Secretary who will then endeavour to resolve the complaint within 14 days.
