Surefire – Stat Signaling

STAT signaling diagramThe Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducers and activators of transcription (STAT) signalling pathway is associated to many cellular responses, including proliferation, differentiation and survival, and is central to the control of hematopoiesis and immune development, mediating the response of cells to many different cytokines. Upon receptor activation, STAT proteins are phosphorylated by JAK proteins, inducing the formation of phospho-STAT homodimers. These activated STAT dimers translocate to the nucleus and activate transcription of specific genes. The deregulation of JAK/STAT signaling mechanisms is implicated in many disease processes.

TGR has developed 3 kits for JAK/STAT signaling:

phospho-STAT1
phospho-STAT3 & total STAT3
phospho-STAT5
